Introduction to Yoga - An essential 4-week yoga primer for absolute beginners.
Start here to learn fundamental postures, alignment principles and other yoga basics. This course provides key yoga fundamentals for building a strong body and a successful yoga practice, forming the foundation for continuing practice in a Level 1-2 class.
Tips for Beginning Students
Please take a moment to read the following guidelines to optimize your experience:
- Wear comfortable clothing. Yoga is done in bare feet. Wear comfortable, lightweight, flexible clothing such as shorts, T-shirts, leggings or work-out wear. Most important is that you are unconstrained by your clothing.
- It is best to practice yoga on an empty stomach. It is suggested that you not eat for about two hours prior to practicing.
- Please feel free to ask questions before, during or after class. The beauty about asking questions during class is that it is an opportunity for everyone to learn.
- Remember that it is important to discuss any medical concerns with your instructor in order to provide you with the best possible experience.
